Kwanzaa Celebration - December 2004

Theme: "A Celebration of Family, Community, and Culture"

Kwanzaa is an African American cultural holiday which celebrates with honoring the principles of Kwanzaa through music and dance. Kwanzaa is traditionally celebrated December 26–31st but is celebrated at Clemson late November or early December. Please view photos from past Kwanzaa celebrations.

Kwanzaa This year's Kwanzaa celebration will take place on Monday, November 29th at 7 p.m. at the Strom Thurmond Institute and will feature:

  • African American Storyteller from Atlanta, GA: Mr. Akbar Imhotep
  • Clemson University Gospel Choir
  • Lemira Ensemble
  • Recitation of the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa
  • Kwanzaa Food Tasting
  • African American Businesses Vendor Fair at 8 p.m.
