Language Partner ProgramWhat is the Clemson Language Partner Program? The CLPP is a program that provides international students and scholars with an opportunity to practice English and learn about American culture with an US American volunteer on campus. However, the program is so much more than that...the CLPP is a way for both participants to learn about different cultures and to exchange views. Even more, it is about friendship, establishing connections which can last for years. Through the CLPP, international students and scholars and US American volunteers complete an on-line sign up form and are paired off into partners. You and your partner can then meet at a time you both decides upon for conversation and discussion. This is a wonderful opportunity to make some new friends from around the world! How do I sign up to participate? The deadline to sign-up for the Fall 2007 CLPP is Friday, September 7, 2007 at 5 pm. What other information do I need to know?
What if I have other questions? If you have any questions feel free to contact Louis Bregger, blouis@clemson.edu, 656.0437 or Brittany Berry, blberry@clemson.edu , 656.2736 in the Gantt Intercultural Center, 214 Hendrix Student Center. How can I fill out an evaluation of the program? If you are a past participant of the CLPP, please fill out an evaluation to help us improve the program by going to our Evaluation Page and choosing CLPP from the drop-down menu. |
