A Collegiate Chapter of the FFA was first organized at Clemson University in the 1930's. The purpose of the organization was to promote the ideals of brotherhood and cooperation and provide an opportunity for students to develop leadership skills. In the past, the group has been known as the Agricultural Education Club and the Society for the Advancement of Agricultural Education. During the Spring of 1981, the group chose to realign with the State and National FFA Organization and is now an official Collegiate FFA Chapter. Despite changes in the name, the purposes of the club have remained the same. CCFFA members are active in the Agricultural Council in the College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Life Sciences and other social and educational activities on and off campus. Participation in the State FFA Convention at Clemson and the National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky are highlights for the group. Each year the club will sponsor a community service project to be completed by our members in a nearby area. All students interested in Agriculture, Forestry, or the Life Sciences are eligible for membership. The Clemson Collegiate FFA abides by the same constitution and bylaws as our national organization which can be found at this link: https://www.ffa.org/documents/about_constitution.pdf
